Pedro Gutiérrez Torres

Education and Professional Experience

1995  Bachelor in Art of the Medias, in the specialty of Direction of Films, Radio and Television, at the Higher Institute of Art of Havana
Graduate in Direction of TV Programs at the Center of Studies of the Cuban Radio and Television

He has made 12 documentaries and written numerous TV programs, music videos, promotional videos, fiction short films and headings for TV and video programs.
His works are broadcasted on regional channels and by the Cuban national TV stations, and have participated in different editions of the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema and in the Cuban Film Festival of Hamburg, Germany.
He has conducted workshops and courses on documentaries, scriptwriting, general production, screening, TV genres, as well as on specific aspects of the audiovisual technology.
He trained directors and producers at the regional TV station Primada Visión, in the municipality of Baracoa, Cuba, and the general producers of channel Vive, Caracas, Venezuela
During the last two years he has been working with artist Alexander Beatón in installation projects and audiovisuals.
