Education and Professional Experience
In 1955 he graduated at San Alejandro Academy of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba. In 1962 he took courses at the Higher Institute of Art in Halle, Germany.
Personal Exhibitions
He has made dissimilar solo shows and group exhibitions in Havana, Cuba, and abroad: Germany, Mexico, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Brazil, Russia, France and Japan.
Awards and Residencies
He has received important awards, like the first prize at the National Salon of UNEAC in 1982 and 1984 and the National Prize of Visual Arts in 2003.
In 1981 he was awarded with the Distinction for National Culture, the Raúl Gómez García medal and the medal granted to the fifty most important teachers in Cuba.
Collections
His pieces are part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Fine Arts, Havana, Cuba.
