Education and Professional Experience
He studied at the Art Trainers School, the National School of Art and the Higher Institute of Art, in Havana.
He has painted murals in public buildings and painted stained glass windows.
Member of the Association of Writers and Artists of Cuba and of the International Association of Plastic Artists.
Personal Exhibitions
Since the decade of 1970 he has exhibited his work in solo shows in Cuba, Costa Rica, Mexico, Spain, Japan and Switzerland.
Collective Exhibitions and Events
He has been in group exhibitions in Seville, Mexico, Santo Domingo, San Juan, Lisbon and Quito, among other cities.
He participated in the Biennial of Ljubljana, Yugoslavia; in the Havana Biennial; in Intergrafik, Germany, and in the 15th Orszagos Biennial, Hungary.
Awards and Residencies
He received the Order Rubén Martínez Villena, granted to the most relevant art work, and the Distinction of National Culture.
