The art gallery Villa Manuela, of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC), was founded on July 10, 2004 as a result of an exchange between our institution and the Deputation of Barcelona. It was conceived as a cultural complex that exhibits and promotes the work of its members. It is a systematic display space for contemporary art in an interdisciplinary way.
Located in a building of eclectic style, from the 1920’s, VILLA MANUELA underwent an architectural modification under the supervision of specialist José Antonio Choy, in order to create a public service multifunctional structure, comprising a exhibition space, an assembly plant, a supply store and a bookstore.
