Vivian Lozano Caballero

Education and Professional Experience
1988 She graduated as engraver and draftsman at the Vocational School of Art José María Heredia, Santiago de Cuba.
1992 She completed studies in the specialties of Engraving and Drawing at the José Joaquín Tejada Academy of Plastic Arts, Santiago de Cuba.
1998 She obtained a Bachelor degree in Plastic Education from the Higher Pedagogic Institute Frank País García, in Santiago de Cuba.
Personal Exhibitions
Vivian has presented nine solo shows, the most recent of them being ¿Quién le tiene miedo al burro? (Who’s Afraid of the Donkey?), 2004, at the Cultural Workshop Luis Díaz Oduardo, and Animales en la vía (Animals on the Road), 2005, at the Provincial Center of Plastic Arts and Design of Holguín.
Collective Exhibitions and Events
She has participated in 64 group exhibitions in Cuba, England and Mexico; she had an outstanding participation in the project Dinámica de un viaje (Dynamics of a Journey) at the Ninth Havana Biennial held in 2006.
Awards and Residencies
She has earned 36 prizes and mentions for her work, among them the Second Prize of the National Meeting on Engraving (Wifredo Lam Center, 2004) and the most recent one obtained at the Provincial Salon of Plastic Arts 30 de Noviembre in 2005, presented in Santiago de Cuba.
Collections
Some of her works are in private collections in France, Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, the United States and Cuba.
